About

Making Change Possible

Making Change Possible

Founded in 2020, Toledo's Juneteenth Celebration has made great impact thanks to the help of members and volunteers in the Toledo, OH community. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in.

Our mission is to bring awareness to mental health, thus developing programs to promote healing strategies with educational opportunities.

Our vision is to successfully improve the lives of those dealing with mental traumas providing emotional, physical and mental wellness support necessary to improve a better quality of life in our youth and adults. We continually strive to create and search for efficient methods to reach and serve our community.

What We Do

Untitled

SUPPORTERS of CULTURE and GROUP ECONOMICS

We are a Culture and Group Economics supportive organization, meaning we believe in the ideology that people of minority class have common interests and should be unified through encouraging and strengthening the bonds of solidarity, in addition to pooling resources to establish economic power for the common good. This can be obtained by first acknowledging and then get to grips with mental health.

Education

Toledo's Juneteenth Celebration is designed to empower people of the minority group, with a curriculum and presentations in line with a cultural aspect. We believe that education in its entirety is a stepping stone in helping rise above a significant amount of community challenges.

Economic Development and Entrepreneurship

The Kwanzaa principle, Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), means to build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses and to profit from them together as a community. We believe in recycling community dollars and reinvesting those dollars into others to start their own ventures, pushing each other forward.
